Where:: Coney Island, Brooklyn, New York city.
Located south of Brooklyn, Coney Island features more than 50 attractions and rides for all ages. Itoffers a boardwalk with the ocean on one side and a wonderwheel on the other and various quick snack cafeterias and hot dog shops. The attractions and games are spread along the coast, there is no main entrance to the “fair” but you can walk directly to the attraction and buy individual tickets for the rides. You must see “The Circus Side Freak Show” for $7.50. I It does not last longer than thirty minutes and there are no special effects or light arrangements. The freaks that perform in the show will amaze you and probably gross you out too. Even though some of them are funky-ly attractive (I hope you dig tattoos and piercings).
When:: Coney Island – The Fair
Coney Island operates on a seasonal basis. Rides will be open just on weekends from Eastern what are u trying to say??? to Memorial Day. From Memorial Day to Labor Day, the attractions are available all week long and they return to their weekend only schedule from Labor Day to the end of September. Hours of operation are regularly from noon to late evening.
What:: Coney Island can be a one-day adventure. If you can, catch the fireworks at 9:30pm every Friday (Memorial Day to Labor Day Season).
How:: By Metro D, Q, N or F train toStillwell Avenue. This takes about 45 – 60 minutes from midtown Manhattan.
Why:: Fill your mind with sweet cotton candy , paint your face and have a race on a carousel horse.
