AMBIGUOUS:::

 The interesting aspect of Ambiguous Clothing is that their line is marketable, yet non-commercial at the same time. Can I reach that state of ambiguity and make sense? Hell yes! Ambiguous takes care of both; their collection offers quality clothing for street sport activities, and they incorporate artists into the design process in order to add that street, underground, splash of rebellion into the graphics and aesthetics. And, of course, a clothing line that happened because of a need to offer the skater, surfer, snowboarder, artist and musician a choice to clothe themselves, they invite the leaders and heroes of the underground and the sport to be part of the collection by designing key pieces suiting each individual’s personality. Some of this players are recognized in the skate industry: Corey Duffel, James Brockman, JT Aultz, Sid Melvin, Jimmy Carlin and Sean Conover among others.

DUNKEL VOLK:::

What inspires you? And when you get inspired, what do you do? They say there are two types of people. The ones that “do” and the ones that “follow.” Dunkel Volk fall into the “doers” category. Two dudes went spot searching and surf craving to Peru to face the amazing waves of Pico Alto and Cabo Blanco, and they just fell in love with it all. They felt inspired and they decided to do something about it. Surfing needed a brand that could translate the fire, the passion and the freedom that the sport echoes. And they managed to do it. They created one of the underground’s most attractive clothing lines. Their gaudy, animated prints, the elated graphics and their smashing choice of colors reach a state of representation for that soul that looks for independence, freedom and heaven on a wave.

FALLEN:::

 Fallen offers primary an extensive selection of shoes. Additionally, it offers some clothing pieces to match your kicks. Notice that the clothes were made to match the shoes, not the other way around. Fallen, this time around, has offered an interesting selection of purple denim, scarlet pants, striped hoodies and plaid shirts.

HAWAIIAN ISLAND CREATIONS:::

 For the preppy boy, there is Polo; for the salt-water-instead-of-blood boy, there is Hawaiian Island Creations. A clothing empire for the guy for whom surfing is his way of living. Preppy likes stripes, argyle and cashmere; free-spirited surfer dude likes fun. He certainly will appreciate the added details to the garments. Notice the sand glued to the black cap, or the encrypted tape inside the trunks along the zipper pull.

LIGHTNING BOLT:::

Lightning Bolt are the true originators of the leader surfboard company back in the day. We are talking old school, back in 1968 Hawaii. They were able to understand the demand, the incorporation of technology, physics, and new materials. In doing so they rushed up various surfboard manufacturers and made their lightning ray famous.

Today, LB is still present in the business and is now introducing a clothing collection both for men and women, capturing what was going on back in ’68. The shirts and trunks can almost pass as true vintage pieces; LB has excelled in capturing the essence in style graphically and in shape.
