Sound Fix Record Store

Sound Fix Store

You won’t find the Beatles Anthology at Williamsburg’s buzzing indie record store. Nor the Rolling Stones. You’re more likely to hear Beach House or The Raveonettes.  What you’ll find is a cozy little spot that not only carries vinyl and new and used CDs from (un)signed bands, but also a venue for readings, acoustic shows and release parties.

Located on the corner of Berry and 11th in Williamsburg, this stretch of road is also complete with Brooklyn Brewery and the vintage/modern clothes haven, Beacon’s Closet. This record mecca started a block away just about five years ago and only recently moved to its current home that maintains the same vibe that the locals have come to know and frequent.

Sound Fix keeps things fresh and mobile.  Their website (www.soundfixrecordstore.com) is complete with a newsletter to keep music-lovers updated on the newest releases, as well as staff picks and an online store.  Another bonus is that they support unsigned artists who can submit their music for the opportunity to have their albums available for purchase on location.
